1. Enter master view

Entry point: Design → Master

  1. Open the WPS Slides presentation that you want to edit.
  2. Click the Design tab at the top.
  3. Click Master.
  4. The interface switches to the Slide Master tab.

  • UI state: The left pane shows master and layout thumbnails.
  • Next actions: You can see slide master commands at the top.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistakes: If no presentation is open first, you cannot enter the related master editing view.

2. Insert a new master

Entry point: Design → Master → Slide Master → Insert Master

  1. First enter master view by following the previous section.
  2. On the Slide Master tab, click Insert Master.
  3. Check the thumbnail pane on the left.
  4. Confirm that a new master appears.

Success Criteria

  • UI state: A new master appears in the left thumbnail pane.
  • Next actions: You can select the new master and continue editing it.

  • Common mistakes: If you stay in normal editing view, you will not see the Insert Master command area.

3. Insert multiple masters continuously

Entry point: Design → Master → Slide Master → Insert Master

  1. Stay in master view.
  2. Click Insert Master once to add one master.
  3. When you need more masters, click Insert Master again.
  4. Repeat as needed until the left pane shows the number of masters you want.
