How-to Guide

1. Group Objects

Entry: Select multiple objects → Tools → Object tab → Group; or Select multiple objects → floating toolbar → Group

  1. Tap to select the first object.
  2. Tap the button at the upper-left corner of the object border.
  3. When the border turns orange, multi-select mode is enabled.
  4. Tap other objects to select multiple items.
  5. If you use the bottom toolbar path, tap Tools, switch to the Object tab, and tap Group.
  6. If you use the floating toolbar path, double-tap to open the floating toolbar and tap Group.
  7. The selected objects are combined into one unit.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: multiple objects are selected and handled as one unit.
  • What you can do next: you can move, resize, or continue adjusting the grouped layout together.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: grouping will not work if only one object is selected.
  • Environment note: you need to enter multi-select mode and select at least two objects.

2. Ungroup Objects

Entry: Select a grouped object → Tools → Object tab → Ungroup; or Select a grouped object → floating toolbar → Ungroup

  1. Tap to select the grouped object.
  2. If you use the bottom toolbar path, tap Tools, switch to the Object tab, and tap Ungroup.
  3. If you use the floating toolbar path, open the floating toolbar and tap Ungroup.
  4. The group is removed and each object returns to an individual state.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: the grouped object returns to multiple separate objects.
  • What you can do next: you can select and edit each object individually.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: if the grouped object is not selected first, the ungroup entry may not appear.
  • Environment note: ungrouping is available only for objects that are already grouped.
