How-to Guide
1. Find text from the ribbon
Entry: Home tab → Find
- Open the presentation you want to edit.
- Click the Home tab on the top menu bar.
- Click Find.
- Enter the text you want to search for in the search box.
- Press Return, or click the find button again to move through results.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: the search box appears and the matching content is located.
- Next action available: you can continue to the next match or return to editing the presentation.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: if you type a keyword but do not confirm the search, the app will not move to a result.
- Environment note: this action searches editable text in the current presentation.
2. Replace text from the ribbon
Entry: Home tab → Find → Replace
- Open the presentation and go to the Home tab.
- Click the drop-down arrow next to Find.
- Select Replace.
- Enter the text to search for in the Find box.
- Enter the new text in the Replace box.
- Click Replace to handle matches one by one, or click Replace All for batch replacement.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: the replace area shows both the Find and Replace input boxes.
- Next action available: you can continue replacing one match at a time or finish a batch replacement.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: using Replace All before checking the keyword may affect content across multiple slides.
- Environment note: confirm whether the target wording should be updated everywhere in the presentation before running a full replacement.
3. Replace fonts
Entry: Home tab → Find → Replace Font
- Open the presentation and go to the Home tab.
- Click the drop-down arrow next to Find.
- Select Replace Font.
- Choose the original font you want to replace.
- Choose the target font.
- Click Replace to apply the font update.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: matching text in the presentation updates to the target font.
- Next action available: you can review slide layout and save the presentation.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: if the original font is not identified correctly, some target text may remain unchanged.
