1. Delete one slide from the right-click menu

Feature entry: Left thumbnail pane → Right-click → Delete Slide

  1. Open the presentation you want to edit.
  2. In the slide thumbnail pane on the left, click the slide you want to remove.
  3. Right-click the selected slide thumbnail.
  4. Select Delete Slide from the menu.
  5. Confirm that the slide is removed from the thumbnail list.

  • Interface result: The selected slide disappears from the thumbnail pane.

2. Delete one slide with the Delete key

Feature entry: Left thumbnail pane → Select a slide → Delete key

  1. Open the presentation and locate the slide thumbnail pane on the left.
  2. Click the slide you want to delete.
  3. Press the Delete key on your keyboard.
  4. Check whether the slide has been removed.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The target slide is removed from the thumbnail list immediately.

  • Common mistake: If focus is not in the thumbnail pane, pressing Delete may not remove the slide.

3. Delete multiple slides at once

Feature entry: Left thumbnail pane → Select multiple slides → Right-click Delete Slide or press Delete

  1. In the slide thumbnail pane, hold Ctrl and click each slide you want to remove.
  2. If you want to select a continuous range, click the first slide and then use Shift to select the range.
  3. After selecting multiple slides, right-click any selected thumbnail.
  4. Select Delete Slide, or press the Delete key directly.
  5. Check whether all selected slides have been removed together.
