1. Add a Blank Slide
Entry point: Bottom toolbar > Tools > Insert > Slide
- In the slide editing view, go to the slide that should appear before the new slide.
- Tap Tools on the bottom toolbar.
- Switch to the Insert tab.
- Tap Slide.
- WPS inserts a new blank slide after the currently selected slide.
- The new slide uses the current presentation's default layout.

2. Create a Slide from a Layout
Entry point: Slide strip at the bottom of the screen > Plus button
- Open the presentation and enter editing mode.
- In the slide strip at the bottom of the screen, tap the + button.
- In the layout selection panel, choose the layout you need.
- WPS creates a new slide with the selected layout.
Success Criteria
- The new slide is added to the current presentation.
- The new slide structure matches the selected layout.
- You can edit directly in the corresponding placeholders.
Tips While Using
- This method works well when you need a title slide, image-and-text slide, or another fixed structure.

3. Create a Slide from the Floating Edit Bar
Entry point: Slide strip at the bottom of the screen > Select a slide > Floating edit bar > New
- In the slide editing view, go to the slide that should appear before the new slide.
- Tap that slide thumbnail to open the floating edit bar.
- Tap New.
- In the layout selection panel, choose the layout you need.
- WPS inserts a new slide after the currently selected slide.
Success Criteria
- The New command in the floating edit bar works successfully.

Tips While Using
