Why is the Align button grayed out or unavailable?

Why do I not see an obvious change after alignment?

  1. Check whether the selected objects were already close to the same edge or center line.
  2. Try a different alignment option and apply it again.
  3. Zoom in on the current slide and check whether the object edges or centers changed.
  4. If needed, continue with More Settings for finer adjustment.

How do I undo the alignment I just applied?

  1. Press Ctrl + Z to undo the previous action.
  2. Or click Undo on the Quick Access Toolbar.
  3. After undoing, select the objects again and apply a different alignment option.

What should I adjust first after opening More Settings?

  1. First decide whether you need to unify edges, centers, or the overall layout.
