When using WPS Alignment Method, common questions usually involve unavailable buttons, unclear visual changes, and undoing edits; this FAQ includes 4 common questions and a glossary.
FAQ
Why is the Alignment Method button grayed out?
- Make sure the presentation is in editing mode instead of slideshow mode or a read-only state.
- Select the text box or paragraph content that you want to adjust, then check the button again.
- If it is still unavailable, switch to another slide and reselect the object before trying again.
Why can’t I see an obvious change after adjusting alignment?
- Check whether the current text is too short, because short text may not show a strong visual difference between alignment options.
- Make sure you selected the correct paragraph text instead of only selecting the object border.
- Try switching among left, center, right, or justified text to compare the result.
How do I undo an Alignment Method change?
- Press Ctrl+Z to undo the previous action.
- Or click Undo on the Quick Access Toolbar.
- If needed, use Redo to restore the change again.
What should I do if the layout looks messy after using Advanced Settings?
- Open More Settings again and review the current parameters.
- Restore the options one by one to settings that fit the current slide better, then preview again.
- If many changes were made, undo first and then reset the page based on the slide content.
