1. Enter screenshot editing mode

Feature entry: Take a screenshot and enter editing mode

1. Take a screenshot in WPS.
2. Finish selecting the capture area.
3. Enter screenshot editing mode and check the top or floating toolbar.
4. Confirm that the Add Shape button is available.

Success Criteria

• Interface result: The screenshot is displayed in the editing area.
• What you can do next: You can click Add Shape directly.

Tips While Using

• Common mistake: If you save or copy the screenshot immediately, you may not stay in editing mode.

2. Add a rectangle or circle

Feature entry: Screenshot editing toolbar → Add Shape

1. Click the Add Shape button on the toolbar.
2. Select the shape you want from the shape list.
3. Choose a rectangle or circle.
4. Click and drag on the screenshot.
5. Release the left mouse button to finish adding the shape.

Success Criteria

• Interface result: The selected shape appears on the screenshot.
• What you can do next: You can continue adjusting styles or add another shape.

Tips While Using

• Common mistake: If the drag distance is too small, the shape may be hard to notice.

3. Adjust line thickness and color

Feature entry: After choosing Add Shape, set the style options

1. Click the Add Shape button.
2. Set the line thickness in the shape options.
3. Select the line color you want.
4. Drag on the screenshot to draw the shape.
5. Check whether the result matches your current explanation needs.

• Interface result: The new shape appears with the selected thickness and color.
• What you can do next: You can continue annotating with the same style.

• Common mistake: If you draw first and change the style later, the result may not match what you expected.

4. Add multiple shapes and exit

Feature entry: Screenshot editing toolbar → Add Shape

1. After adding one shape, click the Add Shape button again.
2. Select another shape or keep the current shape type.
3. Drag on the screenshot again to add another mark.
4. When you are done, click the Add Shape button again to access other options and leave the current shape-adding state.

• Interface result: Multiple shape marks can appear on the same screenshot.
• What you can do next: You can switch to another editing tool or save the screenshot.

• Common mistake: If you do not leave shape-adding mode, clicking the screenshot area may keep inserting new shapes.
