How-to Guide
1. Add a section from the Home tab
Entry point: Home → Section → Add Section
- Open your WPS presentation.
- Click the Home tab on the top menu bar.
- Click the Section button.
- Select Add Section.
- The new section is added at the current position.
Success Criteria
- A new section group appears in the slide thumbnail pane.
- The current slide is placed in the new section.
Tips While Using
- It is helpful to select a slide near the target position before adding the section.
- A section changes slide grouping only and does not change slide content.
2. Add a section from the right-click menu
Entry point: Slide thumbnail pane → Right-click → Add Section
- Open your WPS presentation.
- Go to the target position in the slide thumbnail pane.
- Right-click in the thumbnail area.
- Select Add Section.
- The new section is added at the current position.
Success Criteria
- A new section title appears in the slide thumbnail pane.
- You can continue organizing slides under that section.
Tips While Using
- This method is useful when you want to organize slides while browsing thumbnails.
- If you do not right-click in the thumbnail pane, the related menu item may not appear.
3. Remove a section from the Home tab
Entry point: Home → Section → Remove Section
- Open a WPS presentation that already contains sections.
- Select any slide inside the section you want to remove.
- Click the Section button on the Home tab.
- Select Remove Section.
- The section marker is removed and the slides remain in the presentation.
Success Criteria
- The original section title no longer appears.
- The slides from that section remain in the file.
Tips While Using
- Removing a section does not delete the slides in that section.
- Repeat the same steps if you need to clean up multiple sections.
4. Remove a section from the right-click menu
Entry point: Slide thumbnail pane → Right-click section title → Remove Section
- Open a WPS presentation that already contains sections.
- Find the target section title in the slide thumbnail pane.
- Right-click the section title.
- Select Remove Section.
- The section marker is removed and the slides remain in the presentation.
Success Criteria
- The target section title disappears from the thumbnail pane.
- The slides in that section can still be edited and presented.
Tips While Using
- Right-clicking the section title makes it easier to target the correct section.
- Confirm the section range before removing the marker.
