  1. Click the File tab.
  2. Select Options.
  3. Open Spell Check in the left panel.
  4. Click Custom Dictionary.
  5. In the dialog box, choose the action you need, such as editing an existing dictionary, creating a new one, adding an existing dictionary file, deleting a dictionary, or changing the default setting.
  6. Save the settings, return to the presentation, and run Spell Check again to confirm that the dictionary is applied.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The custom dictionary dialog opens and shows dictionary management controls.
  • Next action available: You can add, edit, delete, or switch the default dictionary.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: If you add a term but do not run Spell Check again, the updated result may not appear immediately.
  • Environment note: A custom dictionary is useful for recurring terms, product names, and abbreviations that should not be flagged repeatedly.
