1. Start the Brush Tool

Entry point: Tools → Brush → Draw Notes

  1. Tap Tools on the bottom toolbar.
  2. Switch to the Brush tab.
  3. Tap Draw Notes to enter brush editing mode.
  4. On the drawing screen, use options such as Undo, Redo, Save, Done, Previous Slide, Next Slide, Brush, Eraser, and Clear Screen as needed.
  5. Use one finger to add handwritten strokes on the slide.
  6. To switch slides, swipe left or right with two fingers.
  7. Tap Save to save the current drawing content in real time.
  8. Tap Done to save the drawing notes and return to normal editing mode.

Success Criteria

  • UI state: Drawing notes mode is open, and you can write directly on the current slide.
  • Next actions: You can continue switching slides, erasing strokes, or saving and exiting.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistakes: If you do not enter Draw Notes mode first, you cannot write directly on the slide.
  • Environment limits: Touch interaction is more direct and works well on iPhone and iPad.

2. Change Brush Options

Entry point: Draw Notes mode → lower-left palette button

  1. Enter Draw Notes mode first.
  2. Tap the palette button in the lower-left corner of the screen.
  3. Choose the brush type you want, such as a standard pen or brush.
  4. Adjust hard or soft tip effects as needed.
  5. Choose a color such as red, blue, green, or black.
  6. If you want cleaner shapes, turn on smart shape recognition.
  7. Return to the canvas and continue writing or drawing.

Success Criteria

  • UI state: The brush style or color has changed, and new strokes follow the updated setting.
  • Next actions: You can continue drawing, erasing, saving, or finishing the current annotation.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistakes: If you do not tap the palette button, the brush and color settings panel will not open.
