How-to Guide
1. Set a transition sound
Entry: Transitions tab → Sound drop-down
- Select the slide where you want to set a transition sound.
- Click the Transitions tab.
- Open the Sound drop-down.
- Select the preset sound you want.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: the selected sound is shown in the sound list for the current slide.
- Next step available: you can preview the slideshow or continue setting sounds for other slides.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: if you do not select the target slide first, the sound may be applied to a different slide.
- Environment note: if the presentation device is muted, you may not hear the transition sound during playback.
2. Add a custom sound
Entry: Transitions tab → Sound drop-down → From File
- Select the slide where you want to add a custom sound.
- Click the Transitions tab and open the Sound drop-down.
- Select From File.
- Choose the audio file you want from your local device.
- Confirm the selection to finish the setup.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: the current slide uses the selected local audio file as its transition sound.
- Next step available: you can play the slideshow and check the sound effect.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: if the audio file path changes later, the playback result may be affected.
- Environment note: make sure the local audio format can be read normally.
3. Remove a transition sound
Entry: Transitions tab → Sound drop-down
- Select the slide that already has a transition sound.
- Click the Transitions tab.
- Open the Sound drop-down.
- Select No Sound.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: the current slide no longer keeps the selected sound effect.
- Next step available: slide transitions no longer trigger sound for that slide.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: removing the sound from only one slide does not change other slides that already have their own sound settings.
