1. Set a Preset Transition Sound

Entry point: Transitions tab → Sound drop-down button

  1. Select the slide where you want to set a transition sound.
  2. Click the Transitions tab at the top of the window.
  3. Click the Sound drop-down button.
  4. Select the preset sound you want from the list.

Success Criteria

  • UI state: The current slide now uses the selected transition sound.
  • Next actions: You can preview the slideshow effect or repeat the setup for other slides.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistakes: If you do not select the target slide first, you may apply the sound to the wrong slide.

2. Add a Custom Transition Sound

Entry point: Transitions tab → Sound drop-down button → From File

  1. Select the slide where you want to set the sound.
  2. Click the Transitions tab at the top of the window.
  3. Click the Sound drop-down button.
  4. Select From File.
  5. Choose the local audio file you want and confirm.

Success Criteria

  • UI state: The current slide now uses the selected local sound file.
  • Next actions: You can preview the slideshow and check whether the sound plays correctly during the transition.

3. Remove a Transition Sound

Entry point: Transitions tab → Sound drop-down button

  1. Select the slide that already has a transition sound.
  2. Click the Transitions tab at the top of the window.
  3. Click the Sound drop-down button.
  4. Select No Sound.

Success Criteria

  • UI state: The current slide no longer keeps a transition sound setting.
  • Next actions: You can continue playback and confirm that no sound plays during the transition.
