- Interface result: The selected slide shows the newly applied transition effect.
- What you can do next: You can preview the result, start the slideshow, or repeat the setup on other slides.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: If you do not select the target slide first, the effect may be applied to the wrong slide.
- Environment note: Open a presentation file before looking for this feature.
2. Apply a transition effect to all slides
Entry path: Transitions tab → Apply to All
- First set the desired transition effect on one slide.
- Keep that slide selected.
- On the Transitions tab, click Apply to All.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The whole presentation uses the same transition style.
- What you can do next: You can start the slideshow and review the overall effect.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: If you click Apply to All before confirming the current effect, the entire deck will use that style.
3. Change an existing transition effect
Entry path: Transitions tab → transition gallery
- Select a slide that already has a transition effect.
- Click the Transitions tab at the top.
- Open the transition gallery again.
- Select a new transition effect to replace the current one.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The previous transition is replaced by the new one.
- What you can do next: You can continue adjusting other slides or apply the same effect to all slides.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: Transition changes are made slide by slide, so confirm the selected slide before editing.
4. Remove a transition effect
Entry path: Transitions tab → transition settings area
- Select the slide where you want to remove the transition effect.
- Open the Transitions tab.
- In the transition settings area, choose the option for no transition or remove the current effect.
- If you want to remove it across the whole deck, repeat the deck-wide apply action after clearing the effect.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The target slide no longer shows the previous transition effect.
- What you can do next: You can set another transition style or start the slideshow directly.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: If you want to clear transitions across the whole presentation, confirm whether you also applied the cleared state to all slides.
