How-to Guide
1. Open a new window for the current presentation
Feature path: View → Open New Window
- Open the presentation that you want to work on.
- Click the View tab at the top of the window.
- Find and click Open New Window.
- WPS creates another window copy of the current presentation.
Success Criteria
- The window title shows the file name with a sequence indicator.
- The original presentation remains open.
- The new window displays the same presentation file.
Tips While Using
- This action creates another window for the same file, not a separate copy of the presentation.
- If no presentation is open, you cannot use this workflow to compare different positions in the same file.
2. View and edit the same presentation in multiple windows
Feature path: First use View → Open New Window
- Create another window for the current presentation.
- In the first window, go to the slide you want to reference.
- In the second window, go to the slide you want to edit.
- Edit content in either window and check the same file in the other window.
Success Criteria
- The two windows can stay on different slide positions.
- Changes made in the same file are reflected while you work across windows.
- You can compare and edit without opening the file again.
Tips While Using
- It helps to place each window on a different slide before you start reviewing.
- If many windows are open, use Windows desktop arrangement tools to keep them organized.
3. Use window arrangement for side-by-side review
Feature path: View → Open New Window; View → Arrange All
- Create two or more windows for the current presentation.
- Keep those windows open.
- Use the window arrangement option on the View tab.
- Review different slide areas at the same time as needed.
Success Criteria
- Multiple windows can stay visible for parallel review.
- You can compare different slides or content areas more quickly.
- Ongoing editing in the same presentation is not interrupted.
Tips While Using
- When several windows are open, keep only the slides you need for the current comparison.
- Closing one window does not remove the presentation content.
