1. Switch to Normal View
Entry: View tab → Normal View
- Open the presentation that you want to edit.
- Click the View tab at the top of the window.
- Find and click Normal View.
- Enter the standard editing view.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The slide thumbnails appear on the left, and the current slide editing area appears in the center.
- What you can do next: You can continue editing, formatting, or switching to another slide.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: If no presentation is open first, it may be harder to confirm the view change clearly.
2. Review the Normal View Layout
Entry: After switching to Normal View, review the interface directly
- Enter Normal View first.
- Check the slide thumbnail pane on the left.
- Check the slide editing area in the center.
- Check the notes area or status bar at the bottom.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: You can see the thumbnail pane, editing area, and bottom area together.
- What you can do next: You can select a thumbnail, switch slides, and edit the current slide directly.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: The bottom area may not always look identical, because the notes area can appear differently depending on the current interface state.
3. Return to Normal View from Another View
Entry: View tab → Normal View
- In the current presentation, click the View tab at the top.
- Find Normal View.
- Click it to return to Normal View.
