Last updated:July 13, 2026

When you use Image as Background, the most common questions are about editing behavior, display results, and the difference from a regular inserted picture; this FAQ covers 3 common questions.

FAQ

Can I still edit the picture directly after setting it as a background?

  1. After you set a picture as a background, it is displayed as the slide background.
  2. In background status, it is no longer edited like a regular picture object.
  3. If you need to adjust the picture again, remove the background setup and insert or apply it again.

Will the picture become distorted after I set it as a background?

  1. This feature automatically expands and fills the picture as the slide background.
  2. If the picture ratio does not match the slide ratio, the result may look stretched or cropped.
  3. It is recommended to check the picture composition before applying it.

What is the difference between using Image as Background and inserting a regular picture?

  1. A regular inserted picture remains a normal object on the slide and can be moved, resized, and selected again.
  2. A background picture stays on the bottom layer and is better suited for slide base visuals.
  3. If you need to adjust position or size often, use a regular inserted picture first. If you need a stable background effect, use Image as Background.
