1. Change a picture from the Picture Tools tab

Entry path: Picture Tools tab → Layout area → Change Image

  1. Select the picture you want to replace.
  2. Click the Picture Tools tab.
  3. Click the Change Image button in the layout area.
  4. Choose a picture source from the drop-down menu, such as Local Picture or Paste from Clipboard.
  5. Select the target picture to complete the replacement. The original picture position and formatting remain in place.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The current picture content is updated.
  • What you can do next: You can continue cropping, resizing, or applying effects to the new picture.
  • No side effect: The original picture position and existing formatting are not reset.

Tips While Using

  • If the new picture has a very different aspect ratio, you may want to make small visual adjustments afterward.
  • Before replacing the picture, make sure the selected object is a picture rather than another slide element.

2. Change a picture from the right-click menu

Entry path: Select picture → Right-click menu → Change Image

  1. Select the picture you want to replace.
  2. Right-click the picture.
  3. Choose Change Image from the pop-up menu.
  4. Select a source such as Local Picture or Paste from Clipboard from the submenu.
  5. Choose the new picture to finish the replacement.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The replaced picture appears in the original position.
  • What you can do next: You can continue editing other objects on the current slide.
  • No side effect: You do not need to insert a new picture frame or reposition the object.

Tips While Using

  • The right-click menu is useful when you want to work directly in the editing area without switching to the ribbon.
  • If there is no image content in the clipboard, Paste from Clipboard cannot complete the replacement.

  1. Select the picture you want to replace.
  2. Click Change Image.
  3. Browse the online gallery in the drop-down menu.
  4. View categories such as Featured, Education, Business, Technology, Medical, Finance, Industry, Agriculture, Home, Food, and Animals.
  5. Click the picture you want to use.
  6. Click More Pictures if you want to browse additional assets.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The selected gallery image replaces the current picture on the slide.
  • What you can do next: You can continue browsing categories and replace the picture again if needed.
  • No side effect: The original picture position and slide layout remain unchanged.

Tips While Using

  • The online gallery requires an internet connection.
  • When browsing many assets, choosing a category first can make replacement faster.

4. Replace a picture with an AI-generated image

Entry path: Picture Tools tab → Change Image → AI Generate Image

  1. Select the picture you want to replace.
  2. Click Change Image.
  3. Choose AI Generate Image from the drop-down menu.
  4. Follow the on-screen prompts to generate a new picture.
  5. Select the result you want and complete the replacement.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The AI-generated picture is applied in the original picture position.
  • What you can do next: You can continue adjusting picture effects or generate another result.
  • No side effect: The original layout position remains in place.
