How-to Guide
1. Align from Drawing Tools
Entry: Drawing Tools tab → Align
- Select the icons that you want to align.
- Click the Drawing Tools tab at the top of the window.
- Click Align to open the menu.
- Select the alignment reference you need, including relative to the object group, relative to the slide, or relative to the last selected object.
- Select the command you want, such as Align Left, Center, Align Right, Align Top, Middle, Align Bottom, Distribute Horizontally, Distribute Vertically, Equal Height, Equal Width, Equal Size, Gridlines, or Gridlines and Guides.
- Click the target command to apply it to the selected icons.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The selected icons are aligned by the chosen edge, center line, spacing rule, or size rule.
- What you can do next: You can continue editing, dragging, or saving the current slide.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: If you do not select multiple icons first, some alignment or distribution commands may not produce the expected result.
- Environment note: When you use relative to the last selected object, the last object you selected becomes the reference.
2. Align from the Home tab
Entry: Home tab → Arrange → Align
- Select the icons that you want to align.
- Click the Home tab at the top of the window.
- Click Arrange.
- Select Align from the drop-down menu.
- Select the alignment option you want and apply it.
