Step-by-Step Guide

1. Group Icons

Entry path: Graphic Tools tab → Group

  1. Select the multiple icons that you want to combine.
  2. Click the Graphic Tools tab at the top of the window.
  3. Find and click the Group button.
  4. Choose Group from the drop-down menu.
  5. Confirm that the selected icons now behave as one object.

Success Check

  • Interface result: the selected icons are highlighted as one grouped object.
  • What you can do next: move, resize, or style the grouped icons together.

Notes While Using

  • Common mistake: if only one icon is selected, grouping cannot be completed.
  • Environment note: multiple icon objects must be selected on the current slide.

2. Ungroup Icons

Entry path: Graphic Tools tab → Group → Ungroup

  1. Select the grouped icon object.
  2. Click the Graphic Tools tab.
  3. Find and click the Group button.
  4. Choose Ungroup from the drop-down menu.
  5. Confirm that the grouped object has returned to separate icons.

Success Check

  • Interface result: the grouped object is split into individual icons.
  • What you can do next: select and edit each icon separately.

Notes While Using

  • Common mistake: if the grouped object is not selected first, ungrouping will not work as expected.

3. Use the Floating Toolbar

Entry path: Floating toolbar → Group

  1. Select multiple icons that you want to group, or select an existing grouped icon object.
  2. On the floating toolbar, click Group or Ungroup.
  3. Confirm that the objects have been combined or separated as needed.

  • Interface result: the object state changes to grouped or ungrouped after the command is used.

4. Use the Right-Click Menu

Entry path: Right-click menu on selected icons → Group

  1. Select the multiple icons that you want to group.
  2. Right-click the selected icons.
  3. Choose Group from the context menu.
  4. Confirm that the icons are now combined as one object.

5. Use the Home Tab

Entry path: Home tab → Arrange → Group

  1. Select multiple icons that you want to group, or select an existing grouped icon object.
  2. Click the Home tab.
  3. Find and click Arrange.
  4. Choose Group or Ungroup from the drop-down menu.
  5. Confirm that the object state has updated based on the command you selected.
