1. Insert a Picture from a Local File

Entry point: Insert → Picture → Local Picture

  1. Open the WPS Slides file that you want to edit.
  2. Place the cursor where you want to insert the picture.
  3. Click the Insert tab on the top menu bar.
  4. Click Picture and select Local Picture.
  5. In the file selection window, locate the target image.
  6. Select the image and click Open.

Success Criteria

  • UI state: The picture appears on the current slide.
  • Next actions: You can move, resize, or reposition the picture.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistakes: If the target slide is not selected first, the picture may be inserted into the slide currently being edited.

2. Drag and Drop a Picture Quickly

Entry point: Drag an image file directly into the slide editing area

  1. Open the folder that contains the picture.
  2. Select the target image file.
  3. Drag the picture to the target position in WPS Slides.
  4. Release the mouse to complete the insertion.

  5. Select the picture you want and insert it.

4. Insert Multiple Pictures at Once

Entry point: Insert → Picture → Local Picture

  3. In the file selection window, hold down Ctrl.
  4. Select multiple pictures one by one.
  5. Click Open to import them at one time.

5. Copy and Paste a Picture

  3. In the expanded menu, choose a local illustration, paged illustration, or online picture resource entry.
