1. Set chart formatting from the ribbon

Entry: Select the chart → Chart Tools tab → Format Selection

  1. Click the chart to select it.
  2. Click the Chart Tools tab on the top menu bar.
  3. In the chart area drop-down list on the right, choose the area you want to format, such as the chart area, plot area, or a series.
  4. Click Format Selection.
  5. In the right pane, adjust fill, border, effects, and other chart format settings.
