Why can’t I see the Add Element button?

  1. Make sure a chart object has already been inserted in the current slide.
  2. Click the chart itself so the chart is selected.
  3. Check whether the Chart Tools tab appears on the top menu bar.
  4. Find the Add Element button under Chart Tools.

How do I hide an element that I already added?

  1. Open the Add Element menu again.
  2. Find the element type that is currently displayed.
  3. Clear the current display style or switch it to a hidden state.
  4. Return to the chart and confirm that the element has been removed.

Can I change the position of data labels?

  1. Add data labels first through Add Element.
  2. Choose a suitable data label style.
  3. If you need more adjustment, open the related formatting pane and continue editing.
  4. Preview the chart and make sure the labels do not block key content.

Why are some chart elements unavailable?

  1. Check the current chart type first.
