1. Open Animation Pane

Entry points:

  • Animations tab → Animation Pane
  • Right sidebar → Animation → Animation Pane
  1. Open the presentation you want to edit and go to the target slide.
  2. Click the Animations tab.
  3. Click Animation Pane.
  4. Or click Animation on the right sidebar, then select Animation Pane.
  5. Confirm that the animation panel opens on the side of the window.

Success Criteria

  • The side panel shows the animation list for the current slide.
  • Existing animation items on the current slide are visible.

Tips While Using

  • Animation Pane shows animations for the current slide only.
  • If the current slide has no animation yet, you can still add effects after opening the pane.

2. Change or add animation effects

Entry point: Animations tab → Animation Pane

  1. Open Animation Pane first.
  2. Select the object you want to edit on the slide, or select an existing animation in the pane.
  3. Click Change Effect to modify the current animation type.
  4. If you want to add another animation, click Add Effect for the selected object.
  5. Choose the animation effect you want to use.

Success Criteria

  • The selected object uses the updated animation effect, or a new animation entry is added.
  • The animation list reflects the change.

Tips While Using

  • Confirm the selected object or animation item before changing the effect.
  • After adding an effect, a new order number usually appears in the animation list.

3. Delete animation effects

Entry point: Animation Pane → Delete

  1. Open Animation Pane and locate the target animation.
  2. Select the animation effect you want to remove.
  3. Click Delete.
  4. Check the animation list to confirm that the effect has been removed.

Success Criteria

  • The selected animation no longer appears in the list.
  • The related object no longer plays with that effect.

Tips While Using

  • Confirm which object the animation belongs to before deleting it.
  • If one object has multiple animations, check the target carefully before removal.

4. Adjust animation start behavior and playback settings

Entry point: Start, Direction, Speed, and Auto Preview in Animation Pane

  1. Open Animation Pane and select the target animation.
  2. Click Start to set how the animation begins.
  3. Click Direction to set the playback direction.
  4. Click Speed to adjust playback speed.
  5. If you want to review changes while editing, enable Auto Preview.

Success Criteria

  • The selected animation uses the updated start behavior, direction, or speed.
  • The updated settings appear in preview or during playback.

Tips While Using

  • When a slide contains multiple animations, check timing together with order.
  • Auto Preview is useful for quick checks and can be turned on or off as needed.

5. Reorder and preview animations

Entry point: Reorder, Play, and Slide Show in Animation Pane

  1. Open Animation Pane and select the target animation.
  2. Use the move up or move down controls under Reorder to change playback order.
  3. Check the numbering in the animation list.
  4. Click Play to preview animations on the current slide.
  5. If you want to review the slide from presentation view, click Slide Show.

Success Criteria

  • The animation order in the list is updated.
  • Animations play in the new order during preview.

Tips While Using

  • The numbers in the animation list indicate playback order.
  • After reordering, preview the slide right away to confirm pacing and timing.
