1. Create a Comment

Entry point: Tools → Review → Comment → New Comment

  1. Select the cell where you want to add a comment.
  2. Tap Tools at the bottom of the screen and open the Review tab.
  3. Tap Comment.
  4. Tap New Comment.
  5. Enter the comment text in the pop-up box.
  6. Tap Done to save the comment.
  7. Return to the editing view and check whether a marker appears in the upper-right corner of the target cell.

Success Criteria

  • The target cell now contains the saved comment.
  • A comment marker appears in the upper-right corner of the cell.
  • You can continue to view or edit the comment later.

Tips While Using

  • Select the target cell before opening the comment entry.
  • After saving, tap the cell again to confirm the comment display state.

2. Edit a Comment

Entry point: Tools → Review → Comment → Edit Comment

  1. Select a cell that already contains a comment.
  2. Tap Tools at the bottom of the screen and open the Review tab.
  3. Tap Comment.
  4. Tap Edit Comment.
  5. Change the text in the comment box.
  6. Save the change and return to the sheet.

Success Criteria

  • The original comment content has been updated.
  • When you open the comment again, the revised text is visible.
  • The cell comment marker remains in place.

Tips While Using

  • Only cells that already contain comments can go directly to Edit Comment.
  • After editing, open the comment again to confirm the updated content.

3. Delete a Comment

Entry point: Tools → Review → Comment → Delete Comment

  1. Select the cell whose comment you want to remove.
  2. Tap Tools at the bottom of the screen and open the Review tab.
  3. Tap Comment.
  4. Tap Delete Comment.
  5. Return to the sheet and confirm that the comment marker has disappeared from the cell.

Success Criteria

  • The comment has been removed from the target cell.
  • The upper-right comment marker is no longer visible.
  • The original comment content no longer appears when you return to the comment menu.

Tips While Using

  • Deleting a comment cannot be directly undone, so confirm before you remove it.
  • If you still need the note, edit the comment instead of deleting it.
