1. Insert TOCOL from the Insert Function dialog

Entry path: Formulas tab → Insert Function

  1. Select the cell where you want to enter the formula.
  2. Click the fx button in the formula bar, or click Insert Function on the Formulas tab.
  3. Search for TOCOL in the dialog box.
  4. Select the function and click confirm.
  5. Enter the required arguments in the function dialog.
  6. Confirm to finish inserting the function.

Success Criteria

  • The current cell contains a TOCOL function.
  • You can continue editing arguments or press Enter to confirm the result.

Tips While Using

  • Search with the English function name TOCOL.
  • Check the source range and output area before entering arguments so existing data is not overwritten.

2. Type a TOCOL formula directly in a cell

Entry path: Cell or formula bar

  1. Select the cell where you want to enter the formula.
  2. Type =TOCOL(...) directly in the cell or in the formula bar.
  3. Press Enter to confirm the formula.
  4. If needed, continue entering arguments while reviewing the formula prompt.

Success Criteria

  • The cell shows the TOCOL formula result.
  • When you select the cell, the full formula is visible in the formula bar.

Tips While Using

  • Keep parentheses, separators, and references correct.
  • If the result will spill into nearby cells, make sure the destination area is empty first.
