1. Insert CHOOSECOLS from the dialog box
Entry path: Formula tab → Insert Function
- Select the cell where you want to enter the formula.
- Click the fx button in the formula bar, or click Insert Function on the Formula tab.
- Search for CHOOSECOLS in the dialog box.
- Select the function and click OK.
- Enter each parameter in the Function Arguments dialog box.
- Click OK to finish entering the formula.

- On-screen result: The target cell contains a CHOOSECOLS formula.

- Search with the uppercase function name CHOOSECOLS.

2. Type the formula directly in a cell
Entry path: Worksheet cell → Formula bar
- Select the cell where you want to enter the formula.
- Type
=CHOOSECOLS(...)directly in the cell or formula bar. - Press Enter to confirm.
