1. Insert BITOR from the Insert Function dialog

Entry point: Formulas tab → Insert Function

  1. Select the cell where you want to enter the formula.
  2. Click the fx button in the formula bar, or click Insert Function on the Formulas tab.
  3. Search for BITOR in the Insert Function dialog.
  4. Select the function and click OK.
  5. Enter the required parameters in the Function Arguments dialog.
  6. Click OK to insert the function.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The target cell contains a BITOR formula.
  • What you can do next: You can continue editing parameters, copy the formula, or confirm the result.

Tips While Using

  • Enter the full function name BITOR when searching.
  • Fill in the parameters in the order shown in the dialog.

2. Type the formula directly in a cell

Entry point: Cell → Formula bar

  1. Select the cell where you want to enter the formula.
  2. Type =BITOR(...) directly in the cell or in the formula bar.
  3. Press Enter to confirm the formula.
  4. If you want to review parameter guidance, type =BITOR( and press F1.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The cell shows the calculation result, and the formula bar keeps the full formula.
  • What you can do next: You can fill down, copy the formula to other cells, or continue editing it.

Tips While Using

  • Separate parameters with commas.
  • If the content is treated as text, check the input format again.

3. Check syntax and parameter details

Entry point: Formulas tab → Insert Function

  1. Click Insert Function on the Formulas tab.
  2. Enter BITOR in the search box.
  3. Select the function to review the syntax BITOR(...).
  4. Click the help link for more details about the function.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: You can see the function name, syntax structure, and the entry to more parameter details.
