1. Insert ACOT from the Insert Function dialog box

Entry point: Formula tab → Insert Function, or the fx button in the formula bar

  1. Select the cell where you want to enter the formula.
  2. Click the fx button in the formula bar, or click Insert Function on the Formula tab.
  3. Search for ACOT in the Insert Function dialog box.
  4. Select the function and click OK.
  5. Enter the parameter in the Function Arguments dialog box.
  6. Click OK to finish inserting the formula.

  • Interface result: The target cell now contains an ACOT formula.
  • What you can do next: You can edit the parameter, copy the formula, or fill it down to other cells.

2. Type the formula directly in a cell

Entry point: A worksheet cell or the formula bar

  2. Type =ACOT(...) directly in the cell or in the formula bar.
  3. Press Enter to confirm the formula.
  4. If you want to review the parameter description, type =ACOT( and press F1 to view the syntax prompt.
