1. Add a Timestamp

Entry path: Protect → Timestamp

  1. Open the PDF document that you want to timestamp.
  2. Click the Protect tab on the top menu bar.
  3. Click the Timestamp button on the toolbar.
  4. Select a timestamp server in the dialog box.
  5. Wait while WPS retrieves trusted time from the timestamp server.
  6. Confirm that the timestamp appears in the document after the process is complete.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The added timestamp is visible in the document.
  • Next action available: You can continue to review timestamp details or archive the file.

Tips While Using

  • Permissions or membership: Editing PDF files requires membership.
  • Environment: An internet connection is required when adding a timestamp.

2. Review Timestamp Details

Entry path: Click the inserted timestamp area

  1. In a PDF that already contains a timestamp, locate the timestamp display area.
  2. Click the timestamp area to open the details.
  3. Review the timestamp time.
  4. Review the timestamp server.
  5. Review the timestamp status and confirm whether it is valid.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: You can see the timestamp time, timestamp server, and timestamp status.
  • Next action available: You can use this information to judge whether the timestamp is valid.
