How-to Guide

1. Add Shape Comments

Entry: Comment tab → Shape Comment button

  1. Open the PDF file where you want to add a shape comment.
  2. Click the Comment tab on the top menu bar.
  3. Click the Shape Comment button.
  4. Select the shape type you need from the drop-down menu: Line (Alt+1), Arrow (Alt+2), Rectangle (Alt+3), Ellipse (Alt+4), Polygon, Cloud, or Custom Shape.
  5. Drag on the document page to draw the selected shape.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The selected shape comment appears on the page.
  • Next action available: You can continue selecting the shape and editing its properties.

Tips While Using

  • Permissions or membership: Editing PDF files requires membership.
  • Common mistake: If you do not choose a shape type first, the page will not start drawing the expected shape.
  • Tip: Use Alt+1 to Alt+4 for common shapes to work faster.

2. Adjust Shape Properties

Entry: Click an existing shape

  1. Click the shape on the page to select it.
  2. Drag the adjustment handles to change the shape size and position.
  3. Use the floating toolbar to set color, line width, and transparency.
  4. Click a blank area to confirm the changes.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The shape style, size, or position is updated.
  • Next action available: You can continue rotating, moving, or editing the shape again.

Tips While Using

  • Permissions or membership: This action is part of a PDF editing workflow and requires membership.
