FAQ

Why is the Highlight button gray and unavailable?

  1. Make sure the PDF file is open and you are on the Edit tab.
  2. Click Edit Content, then switch to Text Editing mode.
  3. Select the target text and check whether the Highlight button becomes available.
  4. If it is still unavailable, check whether the file is a scanned PDF or whether the current account has the required membership access for PDF editing.

How do I remove a highlight that I already added?

  1. Open Edit Content and Text Editing mode.
  2. Select the text that already has the highlight effect.
  3. Click Highlight again.
  4. Confirm that the text returns to the non-highlighted state.

Why can’t I highlight text directly in a scanned PDF?

  1. Content in a scanned PDF is usually image-based rather than directly editable text.
  2. Run OCR first to convert the content into editable text.
  3. After OCR is complete, return to Text Editing mode.
  4. Select the text and apply the highlight effect.
