How-to Guide

1. Start Auto Scroll reading

  1. Open WPS Office and load the PDF file you want to read.
  2. Enter the PDF reading view.
  3. Click the Auto Scroll-related button to start automatic page movement.
  4. Check whether the page keeps scrolling downward.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The PDF pages begin to scroll continuously.
  • Next action available: You can continue reading the current document.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: If no PDF file is open, you cannot enter the related reading view.
  • Environment note: If the page layout is complex, confirm the zoom level before starting Auto Scroll.

2. Adjust scrolling speed

Entry: Use the scrolling speed setting in the PDF reading view.

  1. After Auto Scroll has started, find the speed adjustment entry.
  2. Increase or decrease the scrolling speed based on your reading pace.
  3. Continue watching the page movement.
  4. If needed, repeat the adjustment until the speed fits your reading needs.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The page scrolling speed changes.
  • Next action available: You can continue reading at the updated speed.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: If Auto Scroll has not started, speed changes may not show an obvious result.
  • Environment note: For pages with mixed graphics, tables, or dense layouts, a lower speed may work better.

  1. Open the PDF file.
  2. Click the Edit tab on the top menu bar.
  3. Click Edit Content to enter content editing mode.

  • Next action available: You can continue editing other text or save the document.

  • Membership note: This task requires WPS Premium.
  • Environment note: Text in scanned PDFs may not be directly editable, so OCR may be needed first.
