1. Identify the Title Bar

Entry point: The top area of the WPS PDF window

  1. Open WPS PDF and load any PDF file.
  2. Check the top area of the window and confirm that the left side shows the WPS Office icon and the current document name.
  3. Check the middle area and confirm that it shows the currently open document tabs.
  4. Check the right side and confirm that it provides Minimize, Maximize or Restore, and Close buttons.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: You can see the document name, tabs, and window control buttons at the top of the window.
  • Next action available: You can continue by clicking tabs or using the window control buttons.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: Mistaking the document content area for the tab area, which prevents document switching.
  • Environment note: Open at least one PDF file first so the document name in the Title Bar is easier to identify.

2. Switch Document Tabs and Create a New Document

Entry point: Document tabs in the Title Bar

  1. Open multiple PDF files in WPS PDF.
  2. Click different document tabs in the Title Bar to switch between open files.
  3. If you need a blank document, click the plus button to the right of the tabs.
  4. If you need to close the current file, click the close button on the corresponding tab.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: After you click a different tab, the displayed document content changes accordingly.
  • Next action available: You can continue viewing, closing, or creating documents.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: Clicking the close button by mistake closes the document linked to that tab.
