Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Single Document Recognition

Entry path: Convert tab → Scan RecognitionSingle Document

  1. Open the scanned PDF file that you want to recognize.
  2. Click the Convert tab on the top menu bar.
  3. Click Scan Recognition.
  4. Select Single Document from the drop-down menu.
  5. Wait while WPS runs OCR on the current document.
  6. After recognition is complete, check whether the text in the page has become editable.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The current PDF has completed recognition processing.
  • Next action: You can select text directly and edit it.

Notes

  • Permission requirement: This feature requires membership to edit PDF files.
  • Document quality: Clearer scans usually make the recognition result easier to review.
  • Result check: After recognition, review key paragraphs and confirm proper nouns, numbers, and table content.

2. Multiple Document Recognition

Entry path: Convert tab → Scan RecognitionMultiple Document

  1. Open any PDF file and go to the Convert tab.
  2. Click Scan Recognition.
  3. Select Multiple Document from the drop-down menu.
  4. In the dialog box, add multiple scanned PDF files.
  5. Set the recognition language and output options.
  6. Click Start Recognition to process the selected files in batches.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: Multiple files have been added successfully and recognition has started.
  • Next action: After recognition, you can review the output and continue editing or organizing the files.

Notes

  • Permission requirement: Multiple-document recognition also requires membership access.
  • File preparation: Before batch processing, confirm file order, naming, and save location.
  • Language setting: Recognition is easier to review when the selected language matches the original content.
