1. Single Document Recognition
Entry path: Convert tab → Scan Recognition → Single Document
- Open the scanned PDF file that you want to recognize.
- Click the Convert tab on the top menu bar.
- Click Scan Recognition.
- Select Single Document from the drop-down menu.
- Wait while WPS runs OCR on the current document.
- After recognition is complete, check whether the text in the page has become editable.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The current PDF has completed recognition processing.
- Next action: You can select text directly and edit it.

- Permission requirement: This feature requires membership to edit PDF files.
- Document quality: Clearer scans usually make the recognition result easier to review.

2. Multiple Document Recognition
Entry path: Convert tab → Scan Recognition → Multiple Document
- Open any PDF file and go to the Convert tab.
- Click Scan Recognition.
- Select Multiple Document from the drop-down menu.
- In the dialog box, add multiple scanned PDF files.
- Set the recognition language and output options.
- Click Start Recognition to process the selected files in batches.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: Multiple files have been added successfully and recognition has started.
- Next action: After recognition, you can review the output and continue editing or organizing the files.
Notes
- Permission requirement: Multiple-document recognition also requires membership access.
