1. Rotate a document from the ribbon

Entry: Home tab → Rotate Document

  1. Open the PDF file you want to adjust.
  2. Click the Home tab on the top menu bar.
  3. Find the Rotate Document button on the right side of the toolbar.
  4. Click the button to open the rotation options.
  5. Select Rotate Document Left or Rotate Document Right.
  6. Check the page display and decide whether another adjustment is needed.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: all pages in the current PDF change direction together.
  • Next action available: you can continue reading, editing, or saving the file.

Tips While Using

  • This action affects all pages in the document.
  • PDF editing access is required before you use this feature.

2. Rotate a document with keyboard shortcuts

Entry: keyboard shortcuts

  1. Open the PDF file you want to rotate.
  2. Press Ctrl+Alt+L to rotate the document 90 degrees counterclockwise.
  3. Press Ctrl+Alt+R to rotate the document 90 degrees clockwise.
  4. Repeat the shortcut as needed while checking the page direction.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: the full document rotates immediately in the selected direction.
  • Next action available: you can keep adjusting with shortcuts or save the file.

Tips While Using

  • The shortcuts rotate the full document, not a single page.
  • If the shortcut does not respond, confirm that the active window is WPS PDF.

3. Restore the document direction

Entry: continue rotating or undo

  1. If you just rotated the document and the result is not correct, press Ctrl+Z to undo the action.
  2. If you prefer to restore the original direction by rotation, continue rotating in the needed direction.
  3. After four 90-degree rotations, the document returns to its original direction.
  4. Save the file after you confirm the final direction.

  • Next action available: you can continue editing, printing, or saving the file.

Tips While Using

  • Undo works well for the most recent rotation action.
