How-to Guide

1. Remove handwriting

Entry path: Scan tab → Remove Handwriting

  1. Open a scanned PDF that contains handwritten content.
  2. Click the Scan tab on the top menu bar.
  3. Click Remove Handwriting on the toolbar.
  4. Wait while WPS identifies and removes the handwritten content.
  5. Check whether the page looks cleaner after processing.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: Handwritten content has been processed and the page looks cleaner.
  • Next step available: You can continue to preview, apply, or save the document.

Tips While Using

  • Permissions or membership: This feature requires membership for PDF editing.

2. Preview the cleanup result

Entry path: Scan tab → Remove Handwriting → Preview

  1. Click Remove Handwriting to open the preview interface.
  2. Compare the original page with the processed result in preview.
  3. If the result looks right, click Apply to finish.
