How-to Guide
1. Start playback
Entry: Home tab → Play
- Open the PDF file you want to present.
- Click the Home tab on the top menu bar.
- Click Play on the toolbar.
- WPS enters full-screen playback and starts from the current page.
Success check
- What you should see: the PDF opens in a full-screen, slide-style presentation view.
- What you can do next: continue turning pages, open the right-click menu, or exit playback.
Notes
- Common issue: if you do not go to the target page first, playback starts from the page you are currently viewing.
- Membership note: the PDF workflow for this feature is membership-related.
2. Control playback
Entry: controls available during playback
- Click the mouse during playback to move to the next page.
- Press the Left Arrow key to go back one page, or the Right Arrow key to go forward one page.
- Press the Space key to move to the next page.
- Press Esc to exit playback.
- Right-click the page to open the playback menu.
Success check
- What you should see: pages move forward or backward as expected, or playback exits full screen.
- What you can do next: return to the regular PDF view to continue reading or other PDF work.
Notes
- Common issue: if the playback window is not focused, arrow keys or Space may not respond.

3. Set pointer options
Entry: playback mode → right-click menu → Pointer Options
- Enter Page Playback first.
- Right-click anywhere on the page during playback.
- Select Pointer Options.
- Choose Arrow, Pen, or Highlighter.
- Continue presenting with the selected pointer style.
Success check
- What you should see: the selected pointer style appears during playback.
- What you can do next: keep turning pages, switch pointer styles again, or exit playback.
Notes
- Common issue: if you right-click outside playback mode, the pointer menu does not appear.
