1. Set a First-Line Indent
Entry path: Text Editing tab → First-Line Indent input box
- Enter text editing mode and select the text that needs a first-line indent.
- Find the First-Line Indent input box in the toolbar. Its default value is usually 0.
- Enter an indent value directly, or use the up and down arrows for fine adjustment.
- Press Enter to apply the indent immediately.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The first line of the selected paragraph shifts inward from the left text boundary.
- Next action available: You can continue editing other paragraphs or save the PDF.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: If no text is selected first, the indent value may not apply to the intended paragraph.

2. Remove a First-Line Indent
Entry path: Text Editing tab → First-Line Indent input box
- Select the text that already has a first-line indent.
- Change the First-Line Indent value to 0.
- Press Enter to remove the indent.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The first line returns to the same left boundary as the rest of the paragraph.
