How-to Guide

1. Copy content

Entry: Floating toolbar → Copy button

  1. Enter text editing mode.
  2. Select the text or object that you want to copy.
  3. Wait for the floating toolbar to appear after selection.
  4. Click the Copy button in the floating toolbar.
  5. The selected content is copied to the system clipboard.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The Copy button appears after content is selected.
  • Next action available: You can paste the copied content into the current PDF or another app that supports paste.

Tips While Using

  • Enter editing mode and select content first, or the Copy button may be unavailable.
  • This action requires PDF editing permission and WPS Premium access.

2. Cut content

Entry: Floating toolbar → Cut button

  1. Select the text or object that you want to cut.
  2. Click the Cut button in the floating toolbar.
  3. The selected content is moved to the system clipboard.
  4. Confirm that the original content has been removed from its previous location.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The original content is removed from its previous position.
  • Next action available: You can paste the content into another location.

Tips While Using

  • Cut removes the original content, so confirm the selection before you continue.

3. Paste content

Entry: Floating toolbar → Paste button

  1. Place the cursor where you want to paste the content.
  2. Click the Paste button in the floating toolbar.
  3. The clipboard content is inserted at the current cursor position.

  • Interface result: The content appears at the current cursor position.
  • Next action available: You can continue editing, adjusting, or saving the file.

Tips While Using

  • Make sure the system clipboard already contains content before you paste.

4. Use keyboard shortcuts

Entry: Keyboard shortcuts

  1. Select content and press Ctrl+C to copy.
  2. Select content and press Ctrl+X to cut.
  3. Place the cursor in the target position and press Ctrl+V to paste.

  • Interface result: The selected content is copied, cut, or pasted as expected.
