How-to Guide

1. Clarify a Single Image

Entry path: Image Editing tab → Clarify

  1. Open the PDF file that you want to edit.
  2. Click the image that you want to clarify.
  3. Click the Image Editing tab on the top menu bar.
  4. Click the Clarify button on the toolbar.
  5. Wait for WPS PDF to improve the image clarity automatically, then review the result.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The selected image is clarified and looks clearer on the page.
  • Next action available: You can continue editing other images or save the current PDF file.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: If no image is selected first, Clarify may not work as expected.
  • Permissions or membership: Editing PDF images requires membership access.
  • Environment note: If the image in a scanned PDF cannot be edited directly, check whether the file supports image editing first.

2. Clarify Multiple Images in a Batch

Entry path: Image Editing tab → Clarify

  1. Open the PDF file that you want to edit.
  2. Hold Ctrl and click multiple images one by one to select them.
  3. Click Clarify.
  4. Wait for all selected images to be clarified automatically.
  5. Check whether the updated image appearance matches your needs.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: All selected images are clarified.
  • Next action available: You can continue editing other page content or save the processed PDF file.

  • Common mistake: If multi-selection is not maintained, only the current image may be processed.
