What is the difference between Words and Characters?
- Words means the number of Chinese characters plus the number of English words, and each English word counts as 1 word in this panel.
- Characters (with spaces) includes spaces in the total character count.
- Characters (without spaces) excludes spaces from the total character count.
Why does the result change when I switch the include option?
- The Word Count panel provides an option to include text boxes, footnotes, and endnotes.
- When this option is turned on, those text contents are included in the word and character totals.
- When it is turned off, the totals are shown based on the current setting.
What should I do if I cannot find Word Count?
- Make sure the document is already open in WPS on Android.
- Tap Tools, then open the Review section.
