1. Start Brush and adjust settings

Entry path: ToolsBrushUse Finger

  1. Open the document you want to mark up.
  2. Tap Tools at the bottom.
  3. Tap Brush.
  4. Turn on Use Finger.
  5. Choose the brush type you need: standard pen, highlighter, or eraser.
  6. Select a brush color.
  7. Drag the thickness slider to adjust the stroke width.
  8. Draw or write directly on the document page.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The Brush panel is open and shows brush type, color, and thickness settings.
  • Next action available: You can draw lines or highlight content directly on the document page.

Tips While Using

  • Use the highlighter for emphasis and the standard pen for circling or handwriting.
  • Switch to the eraser when you need to remove marks.
  • Finger drawing is more convenient on touch-enabled devices.

2. Disable Brush

Entry path: ToolsBrushDisable Brush

  1. In the document, tap Tools at the bottom.
  2. Tap Brush.
  3. Turn on Disable Brush.
  4. Return to the document page and confirm that drawing has stopped.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: Brush is disabled, and touch actions no longer create new marks.
  • Next action available: You can continue browsing the document with fewer accidental strokes.

Tips While Using

  • Disable Brush after markup to avoid accidental drawing while scrolling.
  • If you need to mark up the document again later, open the Brush panel and enable it again.
