1. Save a document

Entry: Top menu bar → Save

  1. Create a new document or edit an existing document.
  2. Tap Save on the top menu bar.
  3. If this is the first time you save a new document, choose the save path, file name, and file format as prompted.
  4. Complete the save action to store the document in the selected location.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The document is saved and no longer remains in an unsaved state.
  • What you can do next: You can continue editing the current document and save later changes again.

Tips While Using

  • When you save a new document for the first time, complete the path, name, and format settings first.
  • If local device storage is limited, save to WPS Cloud Docs or another cloud storage location instead.
  • Save regularly during editing to reduce the risk of losing changes after an interruption.

2. Save a copy to another location

Entry: Top menu bar → More → Save As

  1. Tap More on the top menu bar.
  2. Find and tap Save As in the menu.
  3. In the location selection screen, choose where to save the file, such as local storage, WPS Cloud Docs, or an added cloud storage service.
  4. Change the file name or file format if needed.
  5. Tap Save to finish saving the copy.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: A new saved copy is created successfully.
  • What you can do next: You can open the document from the new location or keep the original version separately.

Tips While Using

  • Save As is useful when you want to keep different versions instead of overwriting the original file.
