1. Run Reduce File Size

Entry: More in the top menu bar → All Services / Document ProcessingReduce File Size

  1. Open the document that you want to reduce.
  2. Tap More in the top menu bar.
  3. Tap All Services or Document Processing.
  4. Tap Reduce File Size.
  5. Wait while WPS analyzes the document and shows the compressible space.
  6. Choose whether to back up the original document.
  7. Tap Start to begin the reduction process.
  8. Review the file size comparison after the process is complete.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: You can see the available compressible space or the completed processing result.
  • Next action: You can review the before-and-after file size comparison and continue to save or share the document.
  • No unwanted effect: If you chose to back up the original document, the original version remains available.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: If you do not enter from a text document, you may not see the Reduce File Size entry.
  • Permissions or membership: This feature requires WPS Premium.
  • Usage tip: Documents with many high-resolution images usually show a more noticeable size change.
