How-to Guide

1. Switch to Web Layout View

Entry point: View tab → Layout group → Web Layout; or the Web Layout View icon at the lower-right area of the status bar

  1. Open WPS Docs and load the document you want to review.
  2. Click the View tab on the top menu bar.
  3. In the Layout group, click Web Layout.
  4. Or click the Web Layout View icon on the status bar to switch directly.

Success Criteria

  • UI state: The document is displayed continuously without visible page boundaries.
  • Next actions: You can keep scrolling, editing, and reviewing the document content.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistakes: If you still see page boundaries, confirm that you selected Web Layout instead of another view option.
  • Environment limits: This feature is available after the document is opened in WPS Docs.

2. Review Web Layout display behavior

Entry point: Switch to Web Layout View and review the document directly

  1. Resize the application window while the document is in Web Layout View.
  2. Check whether the content reflows automatically with the window width.
  3. Scroll down to confirm that the document is displayed as one continuous reading flow.
  4. Compare it with page view to confirm that page boundaries are not shown in this mode.

Success Criteria

  • UI state: The content width adjusts automatically when the window size changes.
  • Next actions: You can continue reading the full document and preview a web-style layout.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistakes: Do not treat the continuous display as a change to the document's original print layout.
  • Environment limits: This view is mainly for reading and web-style preview. For print checks, use page view as well.

3. Return to page view for print review

Entry point: A page-view option on the View tab

  1. After finishing your Web Layout preview, go back to the View tab.
  2. Select page view or the corresponding paged display option.
  3. Review margins, page breaks, and the overall print layout.
  4. Confirm the layout before printing or exporting.

Success Criteria

  • UI state: Page boundaries and page layout are shown again.
  • Next actions: You can continue with print review, page adjustment, or output tasks.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistakes: If you stay in Web Layout View before printing, it may be harder to judge the final page layout.
  • Environment limits: Web Layout View is suitable for web-style preview, while print tasks are easier to review in page view.
