1. Show or hide editing marks
Feature entry: Home tab → Show/Hide Editing Marks drop-down menu
- Open the document that you want to edit.
- Click the Show/Hide Editing Marks drop-down menu on the Home tab.
- After it is turned on, paragraph marks, spaces, tabs, and other formatting marks appear in the document.
- Click the same entry again to hide these marks.

2. Customize displayed mark types
Feature entry: File menu → Options → View

- Click OK to save the settings.
