1. Enter Reading Layout
Entry point: View tab → Reading Layout
- Open a WPS Docs document.
- Click the View tab on the top menu bar.
- In the layout group, click Reading Layout.
- The document switches to the Reading Layout view.

2. Exit Reading Layout
Entry point: the Close button at the top right of the Reading Layout interface, or Esc
- In Reading Layout mode, click the Close button at the top right.
- Or press
Escon the keyboard to exit Reading Layout. - The document returns to the standard page view.
Success Criteria
- UI state: the reading interface closes and the standard page view returns.
- Next actions: you can continue editing, formatting, or working with the document.
Tips While Using
- Common mistakes: if the key does not respond, confirm that the document window still has focus.
3. Adjust Reading Layout Settings
Entry point: the top toolbar in the Reading Layout interface
- After entering Reading Layout, use the table of contents to jump to a document location.
- Choose single-page, double-page, or adaptive display based on your reading preference.
- Show or hide comments as needed.
- Select an area if you want to add highlighting.
- Use the arrow keys or scroll the mouse wheel to turn pages.
