1. Switch to Page View from the View tab
Entry point: Top menu bar > View tab > Page button
- Open a WPS Docs document.
- Click the View tab in the top menu bar.
- Click the Page button.
- The document switches to Page View and shows content page by page.
Success Criteria
- UI state: The document shows clear page boundaries and page breaks.
- Next actions: You can keep editing text, checking image placement, and reviewing margins.
Tips While Using
- Common mistakes: If you are not in a WPS Docs document window, you may not see the same entry.
2. Switch to Page View from the bottom status bar
Entry point: Bottom status bar > Page View icon
- Open a WPS Docs document.
- Find the view switching area in the status bar at the bottom.
- Click the Page View icon.
- Check whether the document changes to a page-based display.
Success Criteria
- UI state: The Page View state in the bottom status bar is enabled.
- Next actions: You can continue scrolling through the document page by page.
Tips While Using
- Common mistakes: If the window is too small or the status bar is overlooked, the bottom entry can be easy to miss.
3. Review page layout in Page View
Entry point: After entering Page View, review the document pages directly
- Switch the document to Page View first.
- Check page size, margins, and page breaks.
- Review headers and footers, image placement, and column layout.
- If needed, edit the content on the current page and keep checking the result.
Success Criteria
- UI state: Page elements appear in their page-based positions.
- Next actions: You can continue adjusting text, images, or paragraph layout.
Tips While Using
- Common mistakes: Do not confuse Page View with Print Preview; Page View is more suitable when you want to edit and review layout at the same time.
4. Adjust zoom or hide page white space in Page View
Entry point: Zoom controls at the bottom right in Page View; white space toggle near page breaks
- Keep the document in Page View.
- Drag the zoom slider at the bottom right, or set a suitable zoom percentage.
- Move the pointer to the page break area between two pages.
- Click the on-screen prompt to hide page white space and expand the visible area.
Success Criteria
- UI state: The zoom level changes, or the top and bottom white space between pages is collapsed.
- Next actions: You can continue reading and editing with a more suitable viewing area.
Tips While Using
- Common mistakes: After hiding page white space, it may look like page breaks disappeared, but only the visible white space is collapsed.
