How-to Guide
1. Turn on Fit to Screen
Entry point: after opening a document, tap Fit to Screen in the bottom toolbar.
- Open the document that you want to read.
- Tap Fit to Screen in the bottom toolbar.
- Wait for the page to scale automatically.
- Check whether the document now matches the width of your phone screen.
- Continue scrolling vertically to read the document.
Success Criteria
- The page width fits the current phone screen more closely.
- You usually do not need to scroll sideways to read a full line.
- Only the display scale changes; the original layout stays the same.
Tips While Using
- If the document contains wide tables or complex objects, some areas may still need zooming.
- This feature changes only the viewing effect and does not edit document content.
2. Adjust zoom with two fingers
Entry point: after opening a document, use a two-finger gesture directly in the reading area.
- Open a document and enter the reading view.
- Place two fingers on the screen.
- Move your fingers apart to zoom in.
- Pinch inward to zoom out.
- Release your fingers and continue reading at the current zoom level.
Success Criteria
- The document view zooms in or out with your gesture.
- After zooming in, local text and details are easier to read.
- After zooming out, more content fits on one screen.
Tips While Using
- Zoom changes affect only the current viewing experience and do not change the actual page layout.
- If you want to return to a screen-width reading view, use Fit to Screen again.
3. Restore the default zoom view
Entry point: after manual zooming, tap Fit to Screen again in the bottom toolbar.
- Zoom in or out in the document.
- Tap Fit to Screen in the bottom toolbar.
- Wait for the page to return to the default screen-width view.
- Continue reading in the fitted full-page view.
Success Criteria
- The page returns to a default scale that fits the phone screen width.
- The document returns to a view that is easier for continuous reading.
- You do not need to fine-tune the zoom level repeatedly.
Tips While Using
- If you are focusing on local details, you can keep the zoomed view first and restore the default view later.
- After restoring the default view, you can still use pinch zoom again.
